High School Senior Guys.
One of the many types of sessions that I feel are left out in the photography world. Or there is a bombardment of senior girls, so it may seem like photographing a senior boy is not important or doesn't happen. And yes, I do photograph many senior girl portraits, I never want the boys to feel left out.
I have a 5 year old son, Teddy. I know I don't get to dress him up in princess costumes, do his makeup and curl his hair. But what I can do is cater towards who he is. The things he likes, and what makes him feel good. This is what I get to do with Senior Guys Portraits. This is what I bring to their session.
We make it about them, and what they care about. Sometimes we go all out and hit up 3 different sports fields/arenas, and sometimes it's simple. To capture good, professional portraits of a nice young man before he heads out into the world. I always mention that senior portraits(and this applies to girls and guys), is really the last time they get professional portraits taken before someone is in a white dress. This is why I feel they are such an important milestone.
My session with Caden Simpson was no exception. I was excited when he wanted to get a few photos in his suit outside of the traditional yearbook photo. I always want to make it like a magazine shoot. My Favorite is him with his watch! I feel like it could be an ad.
We had a great time at his session and I love how his photos turned out!
Take a moment and leave some love for him!
