This is a subject that many hear about, and many have probably suffered from in the past(or are currently suffering).
Bullying.
I work with many high school students, and I see and hear stories about how the impact of bullying has on their lives. I first hand know how it is to have friends talk behind your back, people laugh at you, and make fun of how you dress, or do your hair. It's hard to sometimes feel that you life is worth it when this happens often. And these days with social media, it is hard to turn it off.
I wanted to figure out a way to help make a difference. Even if it's in one young child's life. To let them know they are worth it and are beautiful. I wanted to stand up for them.
This is why I'm starting the Be The Voice movement to help all of us join together to stop the judgement of others. This campaign is still in the very early stages of coming together, but my Dream Team HS Senior Ambassador's have been a huge part of getting this going. A couple weeks ago we did a video shoot(that will be coming soon!) to launch the campaign. I am so honored and humbled to work with these amazing kids on this project and I am excited to see what the future has in store!
At the end of the video portion, I had a little fun with everyone and we got to throw paint, powder and glitter:) Here are some of the photos from that day. If you'd like to follow more about the Be the Voice Campaign, you can follow us on twitter @bethevoice4 and on Instagram at @bethevoice4change. Facebook and website will be coming soon:)
Enjoy our fun photos! and Thank you to all of the kids that came out to help out!
