Finding some random spaces and unlikely area’s in my sessions are where most of my best images come from. I’m always looking for the best light to use on my subject so they are looking their best. This was what Ellery Keene’s session was all about.
We started out at my home studio and then moved to find some light at our local Ella Sharp Park before heading to her favorite place, The Dahlem Center. I don’t use the normal area’s at the park so I can create something different with each client.
“My favorite part of my senior pictures was wearing the big pink princess skirt. Those were some of my favorite images and I didn’t expect them to be.”
Ellery is headed off to Wayne State University in the fall to studio Special Education. Her favorite parts of her senior year before it got cut short was her schools annual patio dance, her volleyball season, and just hanging out with friends. Since school has been cancelled now for the remainder of her senior year she is going to miss spring break and prom the most, along with just being with her friends!
“Don’t wish it away so quickly and try new things” is what Ellery has to say to the upcoming Juniors. She is spending her last couple months facetiming with her friends during this COVID outbreak.
Some fun facts about Ellery:
-She is a black belt in Karate(that is so cool and I had no idea!!!)
-She has played 12 different seasons of volleyball since 7th grade. That is some major dedication!
-She has 2 very cute dogs named Roxy and Izzy.
If she had a super power she would want to be able to back in time, especially during this time. And her spirit animal would be a Koala Bear because they are very laid back and like to sleep a lot...like her!
We had a great session and now we can look back and think of a happier day while we are waiting for life to start again!
Enjoy her images and leave her some love on the blog!
