Senior Spotlight-John Ganton-Class of 2022
Many times I get High School senior boys who need to get their portraits done in July and Early August b/c they play sports and it gets busy with the start of the season. Johnny played football at Lumen Christi, and this is not an uncommon situation for them. Because they all shave their heads for football season!
So we needed to capture his portraits before that took place. I usually always ask what hobbies or interests do we want to capture. He didn't want to do football, but wanted to do something with skiing, because this was something he loved to do.
We created something in studio, and I got to work after to show him what that would look like. I'm really excited with how his ski portraits turned out, even though he was sweating taking them in the jacket b/c it was July and HOT in Michigan.
We were then able to photograph at his home. I find this is a great way to make senior portraits memorable b/c your home is usually where you have spent most of your life. We don't need a huge area to create beautiful and memorable photos. We used Johnny's front porch and backyard with his pup. I even convinced him to get portraits done by the barn that holds the lawn mower in which he uses to mow their yard. He doesn't love that barn as much(LOL)
I'm really glad we were able to capture some great images for him. I wish him the best of luck as he heads off to the University of Cincinnati Engineering program in the fall. He's following in big sisters Maddy's footsteps of heading to University of Cincinnati.
