5 Places You Can Use Your Professional Headshots

It's 2021...

When was the last time your headshot was updated.

If you said a year that was not 2020, it's time for a new photo.

Many times I talk with small business owners or entrepreneurs and it has been a few years since they had their photo taken. Some even in a different decade! I know it can be scary, irritating and all sorts of stressful to think about getting your headshot professionally taken, but I'm here to tell you it will be worth it to invest into a good professional portrait.

1.) Your Website

If you are a small business owner, or entrepreneur, guess what! You are the face of your brand. And this is where most people start. They will upload their image to their website because that is where everyone uploads their images. This is a great starting place. But don't let your website, or your companies website, be the last place your potential clients see your face! They want to get to know YOU who they may be hiring someday!

2.) Your Marketing Material

Marketing Material- These are more than just a business card. Do you offer services, or products to buy. Having your face on these materials can help you start to build your know, like and trust factor with your potential clients. They will start to recongize you and your business in more places than just your website. When they are chatting with someone or see your business card, they will instantly make that connection of who you are! So think about adding your photo to your cards, and other marketing material that you hand out to clients or potential customers!

How many times do you change your photo to have more people like and comment on it. Think about how this could help your business get noticed more often. Also, if you have a variety of photos to change out your social media sites than you can have that many more interactions with potential clients.

4.) Email Signature-Most email platforms allow you to put a custom image on their email signature line, You can build this easily in some software programs like Canva or photoshop. Just another place to put your face so people can recognize and start to build a relationship with you.

It all just goes back to letting your potential clients know who you are so they can connect with you.
