Summers in Michigan are full of sun, swimming and of course the beaches on Lake Michigan! If you haven’t had a chance to go visit one of the beautiful beaches on Lake Michigan, you should put that on your list to do so! This is where Class of 2020 Manchester High School Senior, Rylee Spitler wanted to spend her senior session!
We photographed in South Haven, which is a really beautiful little town with many interesting aspects to it. We started in the park and docks and downtown area to capture a wide variety of images for Rylee. “My favorite part was getting to take the photos at sunset on the pier!”
Those are always a highlight for me too! Many times I use a rented dress or a dress from my collection to finish off our ultimate session at our location. This gives my seniors something that is much different than just a normal session. And clearly sunset pics are the best at the beach:)
Rylee is a phenomenal soccer player and is missing her final season in high school because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. “My favorite part of senior year was starting my last soccer season, even though it went unfinished.” She is also missing her friends and is staying in touch during this time with facetime and social media!
“Don’t take any days for granted during your last year of high school, because you never know when it could be your last.” Rylee’s advice for upcoming juniors who are missing the last of their junior year! Her advice for seniors during this Stay Home order, “As much as this sucks, we all just have to try and stay positive. We’re all going through it together.”
Rylee is headed off to Michigan State University in the fall to study Human Biology. After college her goal is to become a dentist. Rylee also spent her summer last year being a lifeguard at a water park and she has binged two seasons of All American in just two days!
Rylee’s super power would be to read minds. “I think it would make life a lot easier if we always knew what other people were thinking in their heads.”
“My spirit animal would be a penguin because they have always been my favorite. They are said to ‘teach you to endure suffering because there’s always something good waiting for you when you overcome it’ which seems very fitting right now!”
Rylee, I know you have drive, determination and a beautiful soul so you will be going places in this life. Don’t ever let yourself or anyone else tell you differently! I wish I could change the last couple months of your senior year but I am excited to feature you here and share your senior portraits with everyone! Please leave her some love!
