May was a little crazier than normal. I was just coming off my Maternity and had a ton of business stacked up, as well as just getting back into the swing of sessions! It was easier getting things caught up because my precious little girl started sleeping through the night for me pretty early. Not to mention my amazing husband who helped support me through it. So here is a quick look at my May and some of my favorite moments:)
I love being able to do Senior Portraits in the Spring time. The weather is not too hot, the green trees, grass and flowers are just blooming and are beautiful! I got to capture 4 beautiful young ladies before they graduated this year! Here are some of my favorites from Lauren, Jolynn, Shelby and Emily's senior sessions!
I also was honored to photograph some executive head shots for Misty Smith, Realtor with Howard Hanna, and Dr. Jeffery Jacobs of Brooklyn Family Dentistry. Capturing beautiful photos for people to use in their business is very important to me. Many times these small business owners our promoting themselves as their brand, and it's important to show the world a professional portrait of who you are. It helps your audience connect with you better, and it raises your professionalism. Here are a couple of Misty's head shots that I just LOVE, and a group shot from Brooklyn Family Dentistry.
Also in May, I supported my education as well as taught other photographers. I was the speaker at Michigan Triangle Professional Photographers Associations May meeting. I gave a presentation on my commercial photography and how I get the end results in my photos. I had a great time presenting this topic for the first time. Can't wait to do it more:) As well as helping guide other professionals, I attended Great Lakes Institute of Photography up at Boyne Highlands resort from May 17th-21st to further my education. I took a course on how to paint my photographs. This has been something I have wanted to do for awhile now and I finally took the leap. Here is a before and after of my first painted photograph of my beloved pup Frosty. I can't wait to get this printed on beautiful canvas and display my first painting! This is a service that will be available to my clients in the near future, so be sure to check back.
OOO and I can't forget the beautiful makeup I did for some of my senior girls for their prom:)
That was May in a nutshell...as well as taking some photographs of my little princess! Here is a 2 month photo of her:)
